# BOS RFQ Lesson 01

## Topic

Do not compare BOS accessories by unit price before site, standard and service scope are clear.

## Who Should Attend

1. Overseas distributors and procurement teams buying rooftop or C&I PV BOS.
2. EPCs and installers preparing accessory RFQs.
3. Chinese BOS suppliers preparing overseas evidence files.
4. Local partners who may support inspection, installation, commissioning or service routing.

## 30-Minute Lesson Flow

### 1. The Common Mistake

The buyer asks for mounting, cable, connector or protection device prices, but the site type, target standard, packaging, installation boundary and service expectation are not clear.

The result is a cheap-looking quote that cannot be compared fairly.

### 2. The Six RFQ Blocks

1. Product category and included items.
2. Site or application assumption.
3. Standard and certificate scope.
4. Packaging and logistics requirement.
5. Installation-detail and image evidence.
6. Warranty, replacement and local service boundary.

### 3. Supplier Evidence Room

Before a supplier enters a buyer shortlist, collect:

1. Product family overview.
2. Datasheets and drawings.
3. Standard and test evidence.
4. Product, packaging and installation-detail images.
5. Warranty and service explanation.
6. Target-market notes.

### 4. Buyer Output

The buyer leaves with a short BOS RFQ brief:

1. What product categories are needed.
2. Which assumptions must be confirmed.
3. Which supplier files are required before comparison.
4. Which questions should be asked in the first supplier meeting.

## Boundary

This lesson does not provide engineering design, structural calculation, installation instruction, grid approval, guaranteed pricing or supplier endorsement.
