# Hybrid Inverter RFQ Market Signal Issue 02

## Why kW Is Not Enough

Many inverter sourcing conversations start with one simple comparison: rated power.

That is useful, but it is not enough. A hybrid inverter RFQ needs to clarify grid standard, battery compatibility, communication protocol, parallel operation, protection level, monitoring, warranty and after-sales boundary before suppliers can be compared.

This issue is a sourcing preparation note. It is not a real-time price report, technical design, certification result or supplier recommendation.

## The RFQ Problem

Two hybrid inverters may both be described as 10 kW, 30 kW or 50 kW, but the buyer may still be comparing very different products.

Key differences can include:

1. Single-phase or three-phase use.
2. On-grid, off-grid or hybrid operating mode.
3. Battery voltage range and compatible battery types.
4. Communication protocol with battery BMS.
5. Parallel operation and expandability.
6. Grid-code and protection requirements.
7. IP rating, operating temperature and installation environment.
8. Monitoring platform, app, data export and remote troubleshooting.
9. Warranty term, replacement process and local service assumption.

## Buyer Questions Before Asking for Price

Before requesting quotes, a buyer should define:

1. Target country and grid requirement.
2. Application: residential, small commercial, C&I backup, self-consumption or microgrid.
3. AC output power and phase requirement.
4. Battery type, voltage range and BMS communication needs.
5. PV input range, MPPT count and string configuration.
6. Backup output or off-grid requirement.
7. Parallel or cascade requirement.
8. Monitoring and data requirements.
9. Warranty, spare parts and local service expectation.

## Supplier Evidence Buyers Need

Suppliers should prepare:

1. Product matrix by power range and application.
2. Model-matched datasheets.
3. Certificates and grid-code references for target markets.
4. Battery compatibility list or protocol note.
5. Wiring and installation guide.
6. Warranty terms.
7. Monitoring platform description.
8. Authorized product, packaging and installation images.
9. After-sales boundary and spare-part policy.

## What Solarbe Global Does With This Signal

Solarbe Global uses this signal to:

1. Help buyers build clearer inverter RFQs.
2. Help suppliers prepare buyer-readable evidence.
3. Help local partners define installation, commissioning and after-sales roles.
4. Turn repeated sourcing questions into training, checklists and supplier evidence reviews.

## Useful Next Step

If you are a buyer, submit one inverter sourcing request with country, power range, battery requirement and grid condition.

If you are a supplier, submit one product line with datasheet, certificates, compatibility notes and image permission.

## Boundary

This issue does not provide price quotes, supplier certification, technical design, grid compliance advice, warranty approval, order commitment or exclusive partnership.
