## PV module photo without certificate mapping

A PV module photo can look clean and professional. But for sourcing, the buyer needs more than a front-facing panel image.

The image should help answer:

> Which model range does this photo represent, and which evidence supports it?

## What a buyer can see

From a typical module product photo, a buyer may see:

- module appearance
- cell layout
- frame style
- surface quality
- brand or product family if visible

This is useful, but not enough for RFQ or supplier comparison.

## What is missing without mapping

The photo becomes buyer-ready only when it connects to:

- model label or model range
- datasheet version
- certificate scope
- warranty and degradation terms
- packaging evidence
- permission status
- caption boundary

If the photo cannot connect to those items, it should stay as internal reference or category illustration.

## Caption pattern

Recommended caption:

> PV module product image for [series or model range if approved], shown for product-line context. Certificate, warranty and packaging evidence should be checked before RFQ comparison. Public-use permission: [status].

If model or permission is unclear, do not publish the image as supplier evidence.

Route the image into one of four states:

1. Public-ready
2. Internal-only
3. Needs blur, crop or caption correction
4. Hold

For the first public site, original diagrams are safer than unclear supplier photos. Real product photos should enter only after permission and evidence mapping.
