# Product Image Standard Note 01

## Product images are evidence, not decoration

In solar and storage sourcing, product images are not just website decoration. They help buyers judge whether a supplier can connect a product claim to a real model, application, factory, project or service process.

A useful product image should answer five questions:

1. What product does this image represent?
2. Which model or product line is it connected to?
3. What application, factory, package, project or service context does it show?
4. Who owns the image and can it be used publicly?
5. Does it match the datasheet, certificate, warranty or project statement?

## What suppliers should prepare

For each product line, suppliers should prepare:

1. Product front view.
2. Side view, ports, cabinet, wiring or interface details.
3. Packaging, label or nameplate image when publishable.
4. Factory, testing or quality control scene.
5. Installation or application scene.
6. Monitoring or service screenshot when relevant and approved.
7. Caption for product model, context and permission status.

For BESS, include cabinet, container, battery rack, safety context and EMS evidence where allowed.

For hybrid inverters or PCS, include product front, ports, wiring, installation context, monitoring platform and integration scene.

For PV modules, include module, packaging, installation, factory line and model-certificate mapping.

For solar application products, include the real load, operating scene, maintenance access and local service role.

## What should not be used publicly

Solarbe Global will not use images publicly if they are:

1. Generic stock photos implying a supplier or project claim.
2. Customer project images without permission.
3. Photos with private customer names, addresses or sensitive labels.
4. Warehouse or factory photos with no product context.
5. Project photos that cannot be matched to a product or permission status.

## How images enter the website

1. Supplier submits image files and permission status.
2. Solarbe Global checks whether the image matches a product line, model or application.
3. Captions are matched with datasheets, certificates, warranty, project notes or service evidence where relevant.
4. Approved images enter the image ledger.
5. Images are used only on suitable pages and can be removed if permission changes.

This process is not certification, product endorsement or order commitment. It is a basic evidence discipline for better sourcing conversations.
