# Product Image Standard Note 02

## A product photo needs model context, permission and caption discipline

A strong product photo can increase buyer trust. A strong-looking photo without context can create risk.

Before Solarbe Global uses any supplier image publicly, the image should answer three questions:

1. What exactly is shown?
2. Who allows public use?
3. What caption prevents misunderstanding?

## The three checks

### 1. Model context

The image should connect to a product line, model range or application scene. A cabinet photo without model context may look impressive, but it does not help a buyer compare scope.

Minimum caption:

- Product category
- Model or model range if approved
- Application scene
- Country or region only if approved

### 2. Permission

An image should not be treated as public just because it was sent in WeChat or email.

Minimum permission record:

- Image owner
- Allowed channels
- Permission period
- Logo or customer visibility
- Blur or crop needs
- Withdrawal contact

### 3. Caption discipline

The caption should not overclaim. If the image is a sample, say it is a sample. If the project location is not approved, do not infer it. If the photo is not tied to a named supplier page, do not imply endorsement.

Good caption pattern:

> Product category + visible scene + permission status + evidence boundary.

## When to keep an image internal

Keep the image internal if:

- Model or product line is unclear.
- Customer or project owner is visible without permission.
- The image implies a project claim that has not been reviewed.
- The supplier cannot confirm public-use scope.
- The image is attractive but not useful for sourcing decisions.

## Solarbe Global position

Product images are evidence assets. They support RFQ, evidence rooms, buyer briefs, supplier profiles and education content only after context and permission are checked.
