# Solar Futures Lesson 01

## Topic

Screen the application before selecting the product.

## Who Should Attend

1. Local entrepreneurs exploring solar-powered services.
2. NGOs, schools, clinics, farms or market operators with energy needs.
3. Suppliers who want to understand application-driven demand.
4. Local partners who may support demand discovery, training or service coordination.

## Four Gates

### 1. Payer

Who pays for the product, service or electricity?

If nobody can pay, sponsor or finance the use case, the product work should pause.

### 2. Operator

Who uses and manages the system every day?

If the operator is unclear, the system may fail after installation.

### 3. Maintenance

Who checks, cleans, repairs, replaces or reports problems?

If maintenance is unclear, the use case needs a service path before product matching.

### 4. Local Service Role

Who can educate users, collect demand, coordinate installation, handle basic checks or escalate issues?

If no local role exists, training may be the first step.

## Lesson Output
